Adding a CMS to Custom Website
Compstak arpproached me looking for a solution to a common problem: an overseas dev team held the keys to their website, and they couldn't make any content changes themselves. Any changes came slowly, if at all.
So, rather than depend on an unreliable partner, we enabled Compstak to move at their own pace, which is fast!
A brand-new CMS-powered website that leveraged the exiting styles from the old one, built in such a flexible way that they could roll out a brand refresh without any dev support in just one month.
This is a true success story in our books: enabling the client to get the job done without any roadblocks.
Rather than relying on React, the framework used for the legacy version of this site, we rolled it out using AlpineJS where interactivity was needed.
In addition, leveraging the exiting CSS stylesheets in combination with a large number of custom WordPress blocks, enabled a superior user experience when it came to creating and managing the content throughout the site.
Migrating to the CMS allowed us to make edits in seconds, and even do a rebrand in and implement in one month. For a true rebrand with net new pages.. a project that would have taken us maybe a few quarters took us only one month!
