Monday Creative
Monday Creative is a women-led insights, strategy and creative agency working to connect humans with each other, their bodies, and the planet.
This project was a significant migration from WordPress to a brand new Statamic site, with an incredible result.
Monday Creative had been running on the same WordPress site since the company launched in 2018. Over the years it had quietly become something the team worked around, rather than with. Not because it was broken, but because it felt like it might break. Updates were approached with hesitation, and publishing new content carried an unspoken risk.
For a team producing work at the level Monday Creative was producing, that wasn't sustainable.
The need was clear: a platform that lets the whole team contribute and publish without fear, paired with a new design that finally matched the quality of the work inside it.
An Editor's Dream
A CMS Built Around Their Team
The new site runs on Statamic, chosen specifically for the control it offers over the editorial experience. Rather than a single login with access to everything, the CMS is configured with distinct roles: an admin role for managing global settings like metadata, SEO fields, and contact information, and a contributor role for the wider team, who use it to publish Insights articles and manage case studies without navigating anything they don't need.
Multiple staff members can now edit and publish independently. The content pipeline that once felt risky is now deployed with confidence. Insights articles, case study pages, and portfolio updates are managed directly by the team, without the need for developer to be constantly in the loop, and no second-guessing whether something might break.

Blazing Fast
Performance Was Considered From the Start
Monday Creative's target audience is the decision-makers, the top people at global brands. With such people in mind, a slow or inaccessible site undermines the credibility the work is trying to establish.
The new site scores much higher for both performance and accessibility, and a perfect 100 for both SEO and best practices on Google Lighthouse. Video assets, which are a centrepiece of the design and within the portfolio, are served from a DigitalOcean Spaces CDN rather than a third-party platform (or just from the uploads folder with no CDN layer), keeping page weight low and load times fast without sacrificing the quality of how the work is presented.
Successful Migration
150+ Posts Migrated
Monday Creative's Insights section is a genuine content asset, with over 150 posts accumulated since 2018, covering strategy, creativity, and culture. Migrating that archive wasn't optional; it was essential for maintaining their SEO and their brand authority in the space.
The migration used Statamic's importer as a foundation, but a significant portion of posts required custom handling. Many posts predated the WordPress block editor; others used layout blocks inconsistently, with no clear path to a clean migration out of the box.
This challenge required putting on the velvet gloves, and creating some custom import logic to bridge those gaps. This enabled the translation of these blocks into Statamic's Set-based paradigm, and the result was that the archive was migrated without a hitch, into a consistent format that will be incredibly easy to maintain and use moving forward.
The goal was never just a new website. It was giving Monday Creative the confidence to own their digital presence: to publish without hesitation, showcase work without apology, and meet potential clients with a platform that finally felt worthy of what's inside it.
That confidence has translated directly into results. With a faster, more credible presence and a team that can keep it current without relying on a developer, Monday Creative is showing up the way their work deserves, complete with a significant uptick in leads coming in.
Overall, this project has been a huge success for Monday Creative.
Michael's been a development partner alongside Monday for a long time now, and I've been on projects with him for the past 3 years. He brings a high level of craft to every project. Our sites come out fast, and true to the designs, which matters a lot when you're working to a high creative standard. What I appreciate just as much as the output is how easy he is to work with day-to-day. He's responsive, available for real-time troubleshooting, and genuinely collaborative. I would highly recommend Michael for all your Statamic projects!
